Solo Leveling Season 1 — Final Thoughts

 

Solo Leveling just finished up its first season and I must say, I was impressed. While the story didn’t move forward that much (Because of a short season), the fighting and MC growth was definitely a fun watch. The weak mc becoming strong is kind of a cliche trope but regardless, Solo leveling does it well in my opinion. Nothing wrong with the power of friendship but having an MC like Jin Woo who can get the job done alone without outside help is refreshing and thrilling. I’m very much looking forward to the next season and hoping that the story starts to really move along. With the way the fight against igres went, it’s obvious that Jin Woo’s journey is just beginning and that it’ll probably be a while before he becomes the “OP” MC. With a bloodthirsty baby brother out to get him and the jeju island storyline starting to come together, I’m genuinely ready for season 2.
