My honest thoughts on Street Fighter 6

Image
Rating: 7.5/10 One year ago, capcom released the ever-anticipated street fighter 6. For almost an entire year, I watched gameplay and then a week before the one-year anniversary I decided to buy the game. My honest feelings are that Street fighter 6 is a beautiful and fun game and probably the best option for people new to the fighting game genre due to its modern control option. I enjoyed my time playing the game but the one thing that got me to play the game was only okay at best and yes, I am talking about world tour. World tour is a mind-blowing experience for the first few hours but then the experience rapidly declines because the overall story isn't that great, and the style rank grind is crazy. I loved meeting the OG characters, but I do think they should have been more involved in the story. At the same time, I completely understand that this is your characters' story and that this is only the beginning of it. So, I'm hopeful that we get an expansion to the world

My introduction into the Final Fantasy Universe.

Image
Rating:8.5/10 In 2016, Square enix came out with the 15th installment in Its Final Fantasy series. I don’t know much about previous titles in the series, but I do know that FF15 was the first final fantasy to not take a turn-based approach to its combat. As a frequent JRPG player at this point, I understand that is the standard for these kinds of games, but I don’t know if a turn-based ff15 would’ve hooked me like the one we actually got. The open world, the visuals and the characters were all great to me and that’s why the game is one of my favorite games of all time. The best parts of the game to me though were the monster hunting and the cooking feature that made camping actually something worth doing. It was a great 80+ hour journey that I honestly wish I could experience again but it is what it is. Aside from my praises, there are a few gripes I had with the game. Like the fact that I felt absolutely no connection to lunafreya at all or that after the events of altissia the game

Xenoverse 1 & 2…Which Is Better?

Image
Rating: 8.5/10 Dragonball Xenoverse was released in 2015 and Xenoverse 2 was released a year later in 2016 with massive improvements that already made a top tier game even better. The Xenoverse story follows the time patrol as they face various threats to the timeline that we have come to love. In my opinion, I think the first game had the better tone. It was more serious, and it just felt like the stakes were higher than in the second game. There’s no doubt that the second game took what the first game did and made it better, but I think that only applies to how the game looks visually. For example, Saiyans in the first game are incredibly OP. Being able to spam ultimates while you’re in super Saiyan form was a sight to behold, making the hardest of fights trivial. Let’s not forget that you stay in super Saiyan during cutscenes, which is something that should’ve never been taken away in the first place. However, aside from a few things, Xenoverse 2 is better in every other way. A bi

Starfield: My honest review & what I think could save the game.

Image
Rating: 6/10 In September of 2023, Bethesda released the highly anticipated title that is Starfield. Some people call it Skyrim in space but to be honest, that’s being a bit generous. While the game isn’t horrible, it’s far from game of the year material and nowhere close to being the best RPG made by Bethesda (That crown falls to Fallout: New Vegas). The game is enjoyable the first few hours, with the promise of a vast universe to explore and discover. That idea goes up in flames when you visit your first ten planets, and they don’t have much to offer besides bug looking aliens that will give you nightmares and jump scares. Some of the side questing is interesting at least but I just feel like some planets should offer more. With how massive the map is, it makes no sense that there aren’t any other sentient lifeforms. They don’t have to be humanoids, but other species would definitely bring a lot more to the game. To add to the repetitive exploration, The game also lacks more divers

Attack On Titan 2: Final Battle Review & Hopes For New Game

Image
Rating: 8.5 AOT 2: Final Battle is an RPG action game that follows the story of the well-known anime of the same name. Attack on Titan 2 puts you in the shoes of an original character who vows to kill the armored titan to avenge the death of his or her parents. The game inserts you into this world and lets you build relationships with existing characters, go out on expeditions and has a mode that allows you to create your own faction to retake territories seized by the titans. Overall, the game is one of a kind. The combat is great, the music is epic, and the side stories you see by getting to know your fellow soldiers are cool if you want to know more about your favorites besides what’s on the surface. My only complaint about the game is where it ended. At the time when the game came out, the anime was still running so I understand content being missing in the base game but, I felt like our characters could have easily fit into the season 3 & 4 narrative. I know some people felt

Mashle Season 1 & 2 Review

Image
Rating: 10/10 Mashle… one of the latest action comedy animes that does what it’s supposed to. Cut from the same cloth as animes like One Punch Man and Gintama, It’s one of the funnest watches you’ll ever experience. On top of the jokes and breaking the fourth wall, the show is heavily influenced by the magical series that is harry potter, with its own versions of quidditch and houses. If magic and wand wielding is something you like, then this is show is a must see. Remember though, while it does have its share of action, it’s still a comedy at heart. So, keep an open mind. ANIME OF THE YEAR CANDIDATE: No, but it’s still great.

Solo Leveling Season 1 — Final Thoughts

Image
Solo Leveling just finished up its first season and I must say, I was impressed. While the story didn’t move forward that much (Because of a short season), the fighting and MC growth was definitely a fun watch. The weak mc becoming strong is kind of a cliche trope but regardless, Solo leveling does it well in my opinion. Nothing wrong with the power of friendship but having an MC like Jin Woo who can get the job done alone without outside help is refreshing and thrilling. I’m very much looking forward to the next season and hoping that the story starts to really move along. With the way the fight against igres went, it’s obvious that Jin Woo’s journey is just beginning and that it’ll probably be a while before he becomes the “OP” MC. With a bloodthirsty baby brother out to get him and the jeju island storyline starting to come together, I’m genuinely ready for season 2. ANIME OF THE YEAR CONTENDER: MAYBE

My Thoughts On DCUO

Image
Wassup people. Today I want to talk about one of the first ever MMOs that I got into. DC Universe Online Is a game made by daybreak and was first released in 2011 on steam and ps3. Honestly, I didn’t get into the game until years later. So, I have no idea what the game was like on day 1, but in 2015/2016 I eventually gravitated towards the game and was blown away by it. Being able to create a superhero/supervillain and play a part in the main story was some of the most fun I had ever had. The different powers to experience with was fun and at the time, the extremely active community of superheroes and villains just flying and running around just made the game feel so alive. One of my biggest issues with the game though, has always been the episodes. These episodes are in the game to serve as “Endgame” content, but the structuring of them is just so bad. Which in turn made it hard for me to experience anything in the game past the main story. Once you hit level 30 and join your respec

Exo Primal Review

Image
Rating: 7.5/10 Exo-primal is a third person dinosaur shooting multiplayer game made by the legendary Capcom. In my opinion, the game is one of a kind. The gameplay is fun although, it does tend to repeat itself. When I first heard about the game, initially I thought it was going to have a cinematic story to follow but that’s not the case at all. The story structure is a bit weird, but it doesn’t completely destroy the game for me because of my love for dinosaurs and how rare it is to find games like this. The exosuits are cool and the PvPvE game modes are fine, but I definitely think the game could’ve been so much more.

Gotham Knights Review

Image
Rating:7/10 Gotham Knights is a Action Role Playing Game developed by WB Games Montreal. After a week of playing this game, I can honestly say that the game wasn’t great, but it wasn’t horrible either. The combat was fun and the story was a bit interesting but the patrolling became a bit repetitive after a while. Fighting against the iconic villains associated with Batman and Gotham was the highlight of my playthrough but I hate the fact that there are only so few of them to go against. I also felt like the story ended too abruptly. Talia is gone and the court of owls never truly face any consequences making it seem like maybe this could possibly just be one part of a full story that could finish later on through another game or maybe an expansion. The game is good enough to enjoy for a single playthrough but in my opinion, there isn’t a reason to boot it back up after finishing it. It’s been awhile since this games release, so it might just be a one and done type game, but in the wo
